OFFICIAL VOICE OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF CUBA CENTRAL COMMITTEE

Parallel to President Raúl Castro’s state visit in France, a business forum will take place tomorrow, February 2, led by Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, a Council of State vice president, and Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, who will present Cuba’s portfolio of investment opportunities, explain the country’s new foreign investment law, and describe advantages of the Mariel Special Development Zone.

France is currently Cuba’s tenth most important trade partner, with some 60 French companies operating on the island, including Pernod-Ricard (international distributor of Havana Club rum) and other large corporations in tourism, construction, telecommunications, energy, and transportation.
