MOSCOW-Cuba yesterday highlighted the significance of the Great October Socialist Revolution, after a floral wreath-laying ceremony at Vladimir Ilyich Lenin’s Mausoleum and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, in this capital.
In the world that we want and we will build, we must all remember that moment of the Revolution, stated José Ramón Balaguer, a member of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) Central Committee Secretariat and head of its International Relations Department.
Balaguer recognized the vast importance of the Great October Socialist Revolution, led by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.
The PCC leader, who participated in a conference of communist and workers’ parties in the northern Russian city of St. Petersburg (formerly Leningrad), attended the ceremonies to mark 100 years since the Russian Revolution.
Meanwhile, the President of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (PCFR), Gennady Zyuganov, explained that representatives of 182 communist and workers’ parties from around the world participated in the aforementioned conference.
All the participants highlighted the significance of the Great October Socialist Revolution in world history, declared Zyuganov.
Over the next three days we will carry out activities, including an international meeting, with the participation of all countries, and there we will analyze the challenges of 21st century socialism, he added.
November 7 will see a march from the Lenin monument to Revolution Square, where a concert will be held. (PL)
