The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, held a cordial, productive telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, on January 24.
The two leaders reviewed the excellent state of relations between the two countries and discussed the future development of bilateral cooperation in various spheres, while also addressing international and regional issues.
President Díaz-Canel thanked his Russian counterpart for the humanitarian aid provided by that country in recent months, especially food, medicines and oxygen concentrators which were decisive in confronting the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
