Activists in cities around the world returned to the streets yesterday Aril 24, to demand an end to the U.S. blockade of Cuba. On the occasion, Party Political Bureau member and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, posted a tweet noting that support for our people is growing across the planet: “Friends, compatriots and solidarity organizations demand an end to the policy of harassment, persecution and asphyxiation against Cuba. The clamor to eliminate the blockade is evident and overwhelming,” he added. Cuban residents abroad and supportive friends in different latitudes joined the International Caravan against the blockade and paraded through the main streets of their cities, both on foot and in cars, carrying messages denouncing the hostile policy.
Cuba’s Foreign Ministry reported on Twitter, that solidarity demonstrations took place in the United States, Canada, Chile, Spain, Timor Leste, Nicaragua, Mexico, Bahamas, Antigua and Barbuda, Uruguay, Belize, Finland, Sweden, Guatemala, Jamaica , Guinea-Bissau, Tunisia and Italy.
Every day more voices are raised supporting Cuba´s legitimate claim to end the blockade.
