OFFICIAL VOICE OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF CUBA CENTRAL COMMITTEE

Caracas, Venezuela-At the María Genoveva Guerrero Ramos Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI), one of the 40 rehabilitated in this capital, the tomograph is working again and other improvements are visible.

During the reopening the building, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro paid tribute to the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement between the two nations, and called to continue to work together "for every beat of Venezuelan health."

"The right to health must be built, defended and worked on in detail every day," said Maduro.

While touring the CDI, accompanied by members of his Executive; by the Cuban Ambassador Dagoberto Rodríguez Barrera, and by collaborators and directors of the social missions of the Island, the President praised the way in which it was possible to recover it.

The Minister of People's Power for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, explained that "the Venezuelan workers, electromedical technicians trained in Cuba, and then in Venezuela," are responsible for the rehabilitated equipment.

The Venezuelan people can count on the quality of the service provided by the CDI's and outpatient clinics, said the President, and reiterated that the health of the people is a priority for his government.

The idea of strengthening bilateral links between two sister nations, and complementing integration efforts in favor of Latin America and the Caribbean, encouraged the Cuba-Venezuela Integral Collaboration Agreement, which was signed 22 years ago by Commanders Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez and has counted with the participation of some 260,000 Cubans, both men and women, in the rendering of services.
