
The 50th anniversary of the first visit to Vietnam of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, in September 1973, will be celebrated this year with several activities.
This was revealed in the dialogue between Emilio Lozada Garcia, head of the Department of International Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC in Spanish), and Le Hoai Trung, head of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
During the cordial meeting, held virtually, the parties discussed the international and regional situation, and the excellent state of inter-party ties, as well as the agenda planned to expand and strengthen them in 2023, the PCC website reported.
The Cuban official explained the special follow-up to the consensuses reached between the First Secretary of the PCC Central Committee and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong.
For his part, Le Hoai Trung reiterated his organization's willingness to strengthen bilateral ties.
