The authorities of the city of Atlanta, USA, accused of terrorism 23 demonstrators who threw stones and Molotov cocktails at the law and order forces in that city.
As a result of the incident, 35 people were arrested, 23 of whom were charged with domestic terrorism, a charge that, according to the city's police chief, Darin Schierbaum, reflects the "very violent" nature of the episode.
In a press conference following the incident, the official accused those arrested of being "destabilizers." adding that when someone throws Molotov cocktails, rocks, bricks and blunt objects at officers, it can't be talked about anything else.
The 23 defendants violently opposed the construction of a police training center in a green area. According to the authorities, the "agitators" approached the officers present in the area and launched a "coordinated attack", reports RT.
It is curious that, beyond the reasons that the U.S. demonstrators may or may not have, when actions like these occur in U.S. territory, they find all the arguments in the world to condemn the use of violence, and those responsible are branded as terrorists, destabilizers, etc.
However, when in Cuba, violent groups, organized, stimulated and paid from the U.S., destroy facilities, loot stores, throw Molotov cocktails, stones and other objects, burn, beat and threaten to kill, for Washington they are "peaceful demonstrators".
The terrorists of Alpha 66, Omega 7, Coru, Comandos I, among others, guilty of multiple crimes against the Cuban people, were described by the White House as "freedom fighters," just as those who clamor for war and pay for violent actions against the island are today.
There is a long list of organizations and individuals sponsored by the U.S. government, responsible for sowing death in the largest of the Antilles.
Contradictorily, Cuba, with an exemplary conduct in terms of confronting this scourge, is placed on a black list and qualified as a country that sponsors terrorism.
Is it the place where the crime takes place that typifies the crime? Is one a victim or an executioner according to Washington's criteria?
Paradoxes of the times we live in, when the neo-language of the empire qualifies at its discretion who are good and who are bad, who are peaceful demonstrators and who are violent terrorists.
