
Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz arrived yesterday in Moscow to preside, on the Cuban side, the 21st Session of the Intergovernmental Commission for economic-commercial and scientific-technical collaboration.
This session was preceded by the meetings of the 17 working groups that make up the bilateral coordination mechanism, which followed up on the main aspects of the economic agenda between Cuba and the Russian Federation.
In addition, the second meeting of the interbank consultations was held, with the participation of a broad representation of the Russian and Cuban banking systems.
This session of the Intergovernmental Commission is being held at a time when economic, commercial, financial and cooperation links between the two countries are being consolidated.
The Cuban delegation is also made up of the Minister of Tourism, Juan Carlos García; the Minister-President of the Central Bank of Cuba, Juana Lilia Delgado; the Ambassador to Russia, Julio Garmendía, as well as Cuban deputy ministers and officials who lead the aforementioned working groups.
He will also hold meetings with Vice President Dmitri Chernishenko, and with other leaders of the Russian Government and entities related to relations with Cuba.
