
The confirmation of the death of Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and other senior officials of the Islamic Republic generated widespread grief in Arab countries and the rest of the world.
Political leaders such as the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, who regretted in his account in X the losses, and described the Iranian leader as a "great friend, admirable politician and loved by his people", have made known their condolences since the fatal consequence of the plane crash registered on Sunday, in the northwest of the country.
Other heads of state and government officials from Latin America, especially from countries such as Venezuela, Mexico, Brazil and Nicaragua, and from nations such as Iraq, Pakistan, Libya, Syria, Qatar, Tunisia and Yemen, conveyed their condolences to the Iranian people.
