OFFICIAL VOICE OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF CUBA CENTRAL COMMITTEE

As a culmination of his official visit to Russia, the member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, held talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, with whom he discussed various aspects of the bilateral strategic partnership.
After the meeting, in statements to the press media, the visitor condemned the unilateral U.S. sanctions and "the policy of isolation that has been applied against the Russian Federation, including in international organizations".
Likewise, he rejected the expansion of NATO towards the Russian border, which led to the current conflict in Europe, especially between Moscow and Kiev, and advocated for a diplomatic, constructive and realistic solution to the existing crisis in the region, the Cuban Foreign Ministry published on its website.
Lavrov, for his part, called for Cuba's removal from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, "an absolute anomaly", because Washington itself resorts to "blatant methods of terror".
He added that Moscow will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Havana, given the negative impact of the illegal blockade imposed by the US.
The Cuban Foreign Minister also paid tribute at the monument dedicated to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, and visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, to honor the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.
