The member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Party, Roberto Morales Ojeda, received yesterday Dimitris Koutsoumbas, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and the delegation accompanying him.
"It is an enormous satisfaction to receive you here; your presence will allow to continue consolidating the friendship and brotherhood between the Communist Party of Cuba and the Communist Party of Greece," said the Cuban party leader when welcoming them, reviewed the PCC website.
He emphasized the importance of promoting the unity of the communist, leftist and progressive parties to counteract the advance of the fascist ultra-right.
At the same time, Morales Ojeda ratified the will to diversify relations between both parties and the willingness to develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
For his part, the Greek communist leader reaffirmed the support of the KKE to the Cuban Revolution, joined the demand for the exclusion of Cuba from the spurious list of States that allegedly sponsor terrorism, and condemned the intensification of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba.
