CARACAS, Venezuela.— A worker leading a country, that is what the oligarchy of the surnames does not forgive Nicolás Maduro. The follower of Chavez' ideas went from being a chauffeur to the leader of a decisive nation and an example of self-determination in the continent. Once again, the majority of Venezuelans expressed, through their vote, their decision to elect him to lead the way to prosperity.
Maduro, the candidate of the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole -composed by 13 political organizations-, stated, in the act of proclamation and adjudication as constitutional president, that Venezuelans, this Sunday, succeeded in "defeating fascism".
"They knew how to face the challenge of an electoral campaign in the hardest conditions: blocked, attacked, which were felt in the deepest foundations of the Venezuelan home," he said.
The will of the people was expressed in their favor in 51.2 % of the votes, with 80 % of the transmission records, explained the President of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Elvis Amoroso.
The day of this July 28 took place "in accordance with the provisions of Article 230 of the Constitution. The presidential election took place in a climate of respect, peace and democratic participation, although some tried to generate violence. There were many attacks to our electoral system, but the technical capacity, morals and ethics of the CNE personnel overcame all obstacles," he said.
Regarding the attack to the data transmission system, the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, informed that it was coordinated from North Macedonia. "This action was not successful, but it slowed down the process and the announcement of the results. They wanted to adulterate the minutes."
As the main person involved in this terrorist act, Lester Toledo was named, accompanied by Leopoldo López and María Corina Machado. Precisely, the leader of the Vente Venezuela Party announced that she had in her possession 100 % of the minutes transmitted by the CNE and, according to her, Edmundo González Urrutia obtained 70 % of the votes, while Maduro, 30 %.
Machado demanded that the CNE show the tally sheets, but she did not disclose the ones she claimed to have. Manipulating the data and final results is the strategy devised by the opposition, with the support of the White House, to claim fraud and try to repeat the Guaidó phenomenon of 2019.
In that sense, Maduro denounced the attempted coup d'état of fascist and counterrevolutionary character that they intend to perpetrate; however, there will be, "before every surprise, a civic-military, police and people's response. At every juncture we will defend the right to peace and the life of the Revolution in this 21st century," he warned.
At the same time, "a group of right-wing governments, subordinated to Washington and openly committed to the most sordid ideological postulates of international fascism (...) intend to disregard the electoral results." In this regard, through an official communiqué, the Bolivarian Government decided to withdraw diplomatic personnel in Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Peru, Panama, Dominican Republic and Uruguay, and to demand that these governments immediately withdraw their representatives in Venezuelan territory".
