CARACAS, Venezuela.— A Global Campaign for Democracy and Sovereignty: USA out of Venezuela, was launched yesterday by ALBA Movimientos, the International Peoples' Assembly, the Simon Bolivar Institute and the Caribbean Peoples' Assembly.
This action also serves as a "global call for solidarity to defend the Venezuelan people from the stalking of U.S. imperialism, which once again attempts to destabilize democracy and popular sovereignty in Venezuela through its attacks and operations."
In this way, they called for "disarming the fake news and falsehoods that have been installed as consensus, (...) for the communicational battle of ideas on Venezuela, from the alleged technical-electoral elements that have been used as a decoy to deceive even progressive sectors."
On the other hand, in his account in X, Chancellor Yván Gil denounced the statements made by the Head of the Carter Center Observation Mission, who attended the July 28 elections, who assures that there is no evidence of the hacking of the National Electoral Council's system.
"All the work and prestige built by President Jimmy Carter is thrown in the trash by this State Department employee. Mrs. Jennie Lincoln lies shamelessly, none of her words correspond to reality nor to Venezuelan legality."
Meanwhile, the hearings convened by the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) for former presidential candidates and their political parties continued yesterday.
In this opportunity, opposition candidates Daniel Ceballos, Javier Bertucci and Claudio Fermín acknowledged that the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ is the only instance to resolve this controversy.
