"For being a unilateral measure against the fundamental principles of international law," the legislators of the Permanent Committee of the Honorable Congress of the Union of Mexico asked the government to reiterate the request to remove Cuba from the list of alleged state sponsors of terrorism.
The Sole Pronouncement calls on the U.S. government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to adhere with the "principle of non-intervention in the internal affairs of States, the peaceful resolution of internal conflicts, and the legal equality of States”.
The Permanent Committee of the Honorable Congress of the Union is the Congress body that takes office during the recesses of the Chambers of Deputies and the Senate. It comprises 37 legislators (19 deputies and 18 senators) and performs political, legal, administrative and control functions.
