Caracas, Venezuela.- The National Union of Jurists of Cuba, through an official communiqué, recognized the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice "in which the results presented by the National Electoral Council are validated, certified and approved, and in which Nicolás Maduro Moros was reelected president for the term 2025-2031 without objection”.
It also reaffirmed its "commitment to the will of the majority of the Venezuelan people to be free and independent," while recognizing their right "to self-determination," and condemned "the intervention and interference of other governments in Venezuela's internal affairs”. In this sense, it reaffirmed "the conviction of defending Latin America as a zone of peace and respect for the will of our peoples, which guarantees the peaceful coexistence of nations".
On the other hand, in the South American country, the balance of the Second National Popular Consultation was made, which showed that most of the approved projects are directed to water management, improvement of the electric service, rehabilitation of educational, health and environmental spaces, as well as rural and urban roads.
"It is the beginning of a more lively, more direct democracy and the construction of a government in which this one must govern from the territory, with the communal councils for a process of deepening," said president Nicolás Maduro.
Likewise, the president announced changes in the executive cabinet "to couple the strength of the popular, socialist and revolutionary government of Venezuela (...). This is the stage of construction of territorial socialism, of communal democracy, of direct democracy, of a new system of government that breaks with the concept of airy, protocol, superficial government," he said.
