OFFICIAL VOICE OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF CUBA CENTRAL COMMITTEE

Caracas, Venezuela.— "Once again, the U.S. authorities, in a repeated criminal practice, which cannot be described as anything other than piracy, have illegally seized an aircraft that has been used by the President of the Republic, justifying themselves in the coercive measures that they unilaterally and illegally impose around the world."
This is how the Venezuelan Government denounced yesterday's seizure of an airplane that was in the Dominican Republic and was taken to the state of Florida.
Several federal agencies were involved in this flagrant violation of aviation laws, as well as the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Commerce, the Bureau of Industry and Security, and the U.S. Department of Justice.
The document, released by Foreign Minister Yván Gil, assured that Washington has shown that it uses "its economic and military power to intimidate and pressure States", so that they serve as "accomplices in its crimes."
Furthermore, it affirms that Venezuela "reserves the right to take any legal action to repair this damage to the nation, as well as all other damages caused by the criminal policy" towards the country. The people of Simón Bolívar, "faithful to its anti-imperialist and anti-colonialist tradition, will not allow itself to be pressured by any aggression."
On the social network X, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, stated that "once again, Venezuela is the center of aggressions and blackmail", and denounced the plundering of resources that belong to that nation.
Let us recall that in June 2022, the Government of Argentina, in agreement with the White House, confiscated the Boeing 747-300, belonging to Empresa de Transporte Aerocargo del Sur (Emtrasur), a subsidiary of Conviasa and owned by Venezuela. Then, in February of this year, the aircraft was transferred to the United States, where it was torn to pieces.
