The member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, will present this Thursday, before the national and foreign press, the update of the national report on the effects of the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade against the Island, corresponding to the period March 2023-February 2024. The serious consequences that the embargo has had on the Cuban economy, affecting the welfare of the population and the development of key areas such as health, education and food, are argued through data and stories in the document, already available for consultation on the website of the nation's Parliament. It also details the impact on Cuba's foreign trade and international financial relations, which have been severely limited by the sanctions imposed by the U.S. government. The Cuban Foreign Minister's speech will be broadcast live, starting at 11:30 a.m. (Cuban time), through Cubavisión Internacional, Canal Caribe and via streaming on the Ministry's YouTube channel and Facebook page.
