
"This visit, at the moment Cuba is living, is one more proof of the indestructible bonds of friendship that exist between our peoples, Parties and governments," meant the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, upon receiving, last night, Li Shulei, member of the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and head of its Publivity Department.
The also Chairman of the National Defense Council stressed the importance that both countries attach "to the exchange of high-level political delegations" and, as part of the dialogue, sent "warm greetings to our friend, President Xi Jinping", with whom he had, he said, "every expectation and desire to be able to meet at the Brics Summit."
We are very hopeful, he stressed, for "the leadership of comrade Xi Jinping as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and also for his leadership at world level; we admire his thinking and I believe that the role he can play in the Summit is very important."
The exchange was also attended by the member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization, Roberto Morales Ojeda, who had earlier received the visitor, who heads the Chinese delegation attending today the 6th Theory Seminar between the Communist Parties of Cuba and China.
Morales Ojeda and Li Shulei confirmed the willingness of their organizations to learn from each other's theoretical and practical experiences in the respective processes of building socialism.
