Ramallah.— Health authorities in the Gaza Strip confirmed today the death of 40 civilians and more than 80 wounded, in Israeli air strikes against homes in the city of Beit Lahia, in the north of this coastal enclave.
According to the sources, another ten Gazans were killed in an air raid on a house housing displaced persons in Beit Lahia.
They denounced that the occupier left the health system in northern Gaza non-functional, while the fate of some 300 medical staff members of Kamal Adwan hospital is unknown.
The sources called on the world to intervene and save the citizens of northern Gaza before it is too late.
On the other hand, media outlets reported heavy shelling by artillery and Israeli warships against residential areas in Beit Lahia and Nuseirat camp in the center of the Palestinian territory.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli shelling has killed 42,924 Palestinians, while another 100,833 have been wounded, mostly children and women.
The above figures, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, only cover the casualties registered in hospitals, while thousands of missing persons are still under the rubble, and ambulances and civil defense teams cannot reach them due to Zionist army fire.
Also, the continuous bombardments forced thousands of Palestinians to forcibly move from their homes and residential neighborhoods to areas in central and southern Gaza.
