We have followed with great concern the events that have followed one another in a dizzying manner in the Syrian Arab Republic, which led to the overthrow of the government of Bashar al-Assad by armed opposition groups.
We make a firm call to preserve the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Syria, as well as to respect the integrity and security of the diplomatic missions based in that Arab nation.
We are in permanent contact with our diplomatic personnel, who are doing well, complying with the plans established for this type of contingency, with great discipline, unity and commitment.
