Caracas, Venezuela-A hundred meters from the Plaza Bolivar, where this city was founded, the Ceiba de San Francisco rises, and from its 35 meters high, it observes how Caracas and its people are getting ready for the countdown to commit to a future of peace.

The historic center is being rehabilitated, roads are being maintained, the streets are decorated with the eight-star tricolor banner... it would seem that the country is celebrating. And so it is. A quarter of a century later, the Bolivarian Revolution continues to write its epic.

The leafy tree, silent witness of the history of this nation, is located in front of the Federal Legislative Palace, site that will be the epicenter of the swearing-in of Nicolás Maduro, in his third presidential term.

The taste of the popular Chavista victory "poisons" the extreme right wing and its "partners", who do not cease in their eagerness to reverse the electoral results of last July 28 in their favor. To this end, they have declared a hybrid war, which from several fronts is trying to subvert the order and tranquility of the citizens.

Neither the cyber coup d'état attempt nor the promotion of internal chaos with "guarimbas" did not work. They resorted then to introduce salaried servants to attack from within. Which, apparently, has not worked out well either, since -in the words of the Head of State- fascism had plans with foreign mercenaries to fill the country with bombs, 125 mercenaries of 25 nationalities were captured in the months of November and December.

He also announced that on Tuesday seven foreign mercenaries were captured, including two Americans, two Colombian hitmen and three Ukrainians.

In the face of the perverse attitude of hatred of the extreme right against its own people, the Bolivarian revolutionary forces swore to defend national sovereignty. In this way, with the presence of the Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, the collectives, who are at the head of the defense of their people, committed themselves to work "for peace and tranquility, in perfect popular, military and police fusion, in defense of the Homeland."

In this regard, Maduro expressed: "To the people belongs the power of arms to defend democracy from any threat and ambush, wherever it comes from (...) We are going to guarantee the victory of peace.

The land of Bolivar and Chavez also counts on the support of its Bolivarian National Armed Forces, which also ratified its loyalty to democracy and the Revolution.

On the other hand, far from ideological extremism, the democratic opposition stated this Tuesday that "dialogue, negotiation and the search for consensus are the great solutions that must be sought in order to move forward (...) An interim government, past or future, that pretends to delegitimize the institutions is unacceptable."

While the country prepares for this January 10, the warning to the interfering and extremists is given in the voice of the President: "The people of Venezuela are determined to defend their right to the future."
