The message, broadcast on Chinese prime time television, expresses sincere wishes for happiness, health and prosperity on behalf of the Party, the Government and the people of Cuba.
The defense of the socialist cause and the construction of a community of shared future between both nations were highlighted by the president as purposes in which progress will continue to be made "with firm and sure steps."
In 2025, Cuba and China celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, strengthened by historical and cultural ties that date back to the 19th century, when the first Chinese immigrants arrived in the Caribbean nation.
