The Head of Government ratified the willingness to “raise economic and commercial ties to the same level as political ones”, and detailed that the agreements signed on the day guarantee the continuity of cooperation. He thanked his nation for its support to the international claim against the blockade and for the exclusion of Cuba from the list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.
Nguema Mbasogo, head of State and Government and founding president of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea, recalled his friendship with Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, and highlighted Cuba's commitment to the African continent.
He acknowledged the more than 400 Cuban collaborators in Public Health and Education who work here, and the similarity of the policy that both countries have followed, with their own efforts, to defend our sovereignty, the independence of our peoples, and not to submit to pressures from Western or foreign countries.
