
As part of his stay in the Asian giant to participate in the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the China-Celac Forum on Tuesdayy, the member of the Political Bureau of the Party and Foreign Minister of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, held meetings with Wang Yi, Chinese Foreign Minister, and Li Xi, Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Control of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CCCCP).
The foreign ministers highlighted the excellent state of bilateral ties, in the context of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and stressed the importance of the recent meeting of Presidents Miguel Diaz-Canel and Xi Jinping in Moscow.
In this regard, the Cuban Foreign Minister said that the meeting between the leaders, which he described as historic, raises consensus and priorities "that we will be honored to implement as a whole". He also ratified the support for the principle of one China.
Wang Yi, for his part, highlighted Cuba's support for the holding of the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the China-Celac Forum, which will take place today. He referred to the friendship between the two countries and considered that the ties between the nations and their respective Parties are constantly advancing to new levels.
Rodríguez Parrilla also met with senior Chinese official Li Xi. The member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China stressed the strength of the Cuban people in their socialist path. He also stressed the firm commitment of the Cuban people to the defense of the truth and their resistance to external pressure.
Meanwhile, the Chancellor described the ties between China and Latin America and the Caribbean as promising and with great potential, in connection with the celebration of the China-Celac Forum.
