Caracas, Venezuela.-With a majority in the regional and parliamentary elections held on Sunday, the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole received an endorsement that reaffirms the confidence of the Venezuelan people in this alliance, in order to consolidate the stability of the country.
According to what was revealed after the counting of 93.01 % of the electoral tables, the Great Patriotic Pole reached 4,553,484 votes, corresponding to 82.68 % of the total. The remaining votes went to the Democratic Alliance, Unique Untc Alliance and Neighborhood Force Alliance.Thus, 40 of the 50 positions for deputies of the national list to the Parliament were won by the Chavista people.
Regarding the governorships, the National Electoral Council announced that 23 out of the 24 states of the country decided to vote for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, so that the opposition only won the Governorship of Cojedes, with the Vamos Vamos party.
In this regard, President Nicolás Maduro assured that this "victory belongs to the noble people of Venezuela, to you, ordinary men and women (...). After blockades, criminal sanctions, fascism and violence, the Bolivarian Revolution has shown that it is stronger and more valid than ever".
The Bolivarian leader highlighted the dimension of "the battle they have fought", and acknowledged that this nation has managed to "resist, persevere and move forward with a new project. You, as a people, are the protagonists of a new stage in the history of Venezuela. It is the victory of those of us who love this country, and of the youth that is rising up full of dreams and hopes," he said.
