
As part of the visit by Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, he met with the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), To Lam, during which they agreed that the link between the two parties is the cornerstone of bilateral relations and constitutes their political foundation and strategic orientation.
Likewise, the two parties agreed to continue promoting activities between high-level party delegations, such as theoretical seminars, face-to-face or virtual dialogue between auxiliary structures, exchange programs with PCC cadres, communication between youth and mass organizations, as initiatives that allow mutual growth based on experiences and lessons learned about the improvement of the processes of building socialism in both nations.
It was also agreed to continue improving cooperation mechanisms and to advance in the implementation of the Exchange and Cooperation Agreement between the CPV and the PCC (2023-2028), as well as in the implementation of the agreements signed between the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Ñico López Party University.
Similarly, it was decided to continue the ties between the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of the Central Committee of the CPV and the Ideological Department of the Central Committee of the PCC; the Communist Review of Vietnam and the Cuba Socialista magazine, and the Policy and Strategy Commission of the Central Committee of the CPV and the Economic-Productive Department of the PCC, which includes the organization of a virtual exchange between the latter two bodies in November of this year.
Both parties also agreed to organize the 7th Theoretical Seminar between the Communist Party of Cuba and the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 3rd Scientific Conference "Fidel Castro-Ho Chi Minh: Vision of the Revolution," on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.
Finally, they committed to continuing to cooperate and coordinate positions in regional and international forums of left-wing political parties and progressive forces.
