Hanoi, Vietnam.–"I am very happy to meet you again. Your visit to Vietnam comes at a very special time: when both national assemblies are holding the Second Session of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee and both peoples are celebrating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. We see your visit as a continuation of the recent visit by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, which will contribute, from the parliamentary sphere, to strengthening the close friendship between Vietnam and Cuba."
This was stated on October 1st by the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam, in a fraternal meeting with Esteban Lazo Hernández, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party, President of the National Assembly of People's Power and of the Council of State.
