The cynicism of the U.S. government, voiced by its Ambassador, found no echo yesterday at the UN General Assembly, when it attempted to justify the criminal actions of the blockade against the island, deny the existence of a genocidal policy of economic and social strangulation, and coerce Member States to change their votes in favor of the empire.
First, the virile and forceful face-to-face reply from the member of the Political Bureau and Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla;and then the firm response from 29 countries and regional blocs, which condemned the blockade.
Today the world will once again vote against this extraterritorial blockade, which, for the purpose of domination, attempts to subdue a resilient and supportive people.The United States government will once again face the historic rejection of the international community.

- The U.S. blockade against Cuba is the most comprehensive, complex, and prolonged system of unilateral coercive measures ever imposed against any country in history.
- It violates the Charter of the United Nations and International Law, represents the main obstacle to Cuba's development, and constitutes a massive, flagrant, and systematic violation of the human rights of the entire Cuban people.
- This policy represents an estimated loss of more than US$629,675,000 per month, more thanUS $20,701,000 per day, and US$862,568 in damages for every hour of the blockade.
- Taking into account the behavior of the dollar against the value of gold in the international market, the blockade has caused quantifiable damages of 2 trillion 103 billion 897 million dollars.
