The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, held a courtesy meeting with Fernando Jesús Santiago Ollero, president of the Association of Administrative Managers of Spain, whom he thanked for the support his organization has provided for the development of legal services in Cuba.

During the meeting, which was also attended by the Minister of Justice, Oscar Silvera Martínez, and took place on Thursday afternoon at the Palace of the Revolution, the Head of State noted that the work done is not limited to the modernization of equipment, but has also had a positive impact on the training of Cuban professionals through courses and the provision of updated bibliography.

He also referred to what has been achieved in terms of infrastructure, as a significant part of the digital transformation process undertaken in the legal sector, associated with the digitization of public services, has been thanks to the support and cooperation received from the Spanish Association of Administrative Managers.

Similarly, he highlighted the importance of his participation in several high-quality international events held in Cuba on a variety of topics.

He also reaffirmed his willingness to continue working together to advance the modernization and improvement of public administration in the country.

For his part, the President of the Spanish Association of Administrative Managers reiterated his willingness to continue cooperating with Cuba, even in the face of the obstacles and pressure that have sometimes been applied by the United States Government to prevent this.

"To the extent that we can help," he said, "we will continue to do so, with the clear intention of continuing to develop projects and increase technological collaboration."

Among the activities previously carried out by Santiago Ollero in Cuba, his presence in 2023 at the Third National Symposium on Legal Advice and Business Law stands out. In the context of that event, he was received by Manuel Marrero Cruz, member of the Political Bureau and Prime Minister.
