With the statements: "Cuba is not alone! Cuba will prevail!", along with a salute to "the example of courage, determination, peace, cooperation, and solidarity that Cuba offers the world," more than 90 political organizations from different continents demanded "an immediate end to the threats and all hostile measures adopted by the United States, including an end to the cruel, criminal, and illegal blockade, in compliance with the numerous UN resolutions on the matter."

In the statement, promoted by the Portuguese Communist Party, the signatories made an "appeal for the broadest international solidarity" in defense of "the independence and sovereignty and rights of the Cuban people, including the right to decide their future peacefully and free from external interference and pressure."

The document also condemned "the U.S. president's executive order designating Cuba as an 'unusual and extraordinary threat' to its security," which, according to the text, "is nothing more than a fabrication based on a series of falsehoods."

The list of communist and socialist parties and political movements in Europe, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa remains open to new additions.
