The first Panama-Holguin flight by Copa Airline departed today, June 21, at 9:00am local time, from Tocumen International Airport, making Holguin the Panamanian airline's third Cuban destination.
Copa will fly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, to the tourist area in the east of Cuba, where the number of foreign visitors is increasing, due to its cultural, historic, and natural attractions.
This is the only international airline that operates three regular routes to the Cuban archipelago. In addition to Holguin, the airline has six daily flights to the capital, and four weekly flights to Santa Clara, in the central region of the country.
There are other interesting and historic cities very close to Holguin that are very attractive to visitors traveling on business, for a conference, or to vacation, Copa executive Lina Maldonado told Prensa Latina.
Cuba is a surprising country. Thus, Copa is committed to increasing its operations to this wonderful island, Maldonado said, highlighting the beauty of Cuba's beaches.
