October 28, thousands of Cubans gather along rivers and seawalls, and children throw flowers into the water, to honor Camilo Cienfuegos, in a ritual which began in 1959, when the revolutionary leader disappeared in a small Cessna 310 aircraft traveling from Camagüey to Havana. Neither Camilo, the plane, or the other two passengers pilot Luciano Fariñas and soldier Félix Rodríguez were ever found. (Cubadebate)
