Speaking to Granma about the upcoming National Assembly of Cuban Pioneers, Aymara Guzmán Carrazana president of the José Martí Pioneers Organization (OPJM) for elementary school students, noted, “The encounter will contribute new solutions and ideas about how to improve the functioning of the organization, how to teach, fall in love with and learn about Cuba’s history… On its 55th anniversary, pioneers will arrive with a clear vision, happy and committed, certain of the mission which the Revolution has given us.”
Other aims include promoting students' commitment to their studies and the importance of the organization to their comprehensive education, in addition to providing the necessary support to families and the community to accompany schools in their work.
Actions to promote pedagogical careers and increasing activities which better reflect students’ tastes and interests, feature among the OPJM’s future prospects, according to its president.
