SANTA CLARA.— "We have limited resources, but little by little we will find solutions to the social problems that exist; this is why it is important that the neighborhood decides, that the neighborhood participates in defining priorities," stated Vice President of the Republic Salvador Valdés Mesa, who September 4 visited the city’s Condado Norte and Condado Sur communities.
During an exchange with authorities and residents, Valdés, also a member of the Party Political Bureau, inquired about progress being made on plans to improve quality of life here, programs that include more than 300 actions in response to more than a hundred identified pending issues to be resolved.
Yudí Rodríguez Hernández, first secretary of the Party Provincial Committee in the territory, and Villa Clara Deputy Governor Milaxys Sánchez Armas, explained that work on renovations of educational, health, cultural and sports centers, as well as the repair of streets and clean-up of the neighborhoods, are all checked daily.
