
Santa Clara - Four tourist facilities located in the northern keys of Villa Clara, the Playa, Iberostar Ensenachos, Las Dunas and Royalton hotels have reopened their doors to international and domestic visitors, bringing the area’s leisure industry back to life and contributing to the national economy.
Regla Dayamí Armenteros Mesa, Ministry of Tourism representative in the province, explained that the Dhawa hotel will be incorporated shortly and as the tourism industry’s situation is normalized internationally, more facilities could be added.
She noted the Gaviota Group's tourism fair, set to take place December 6-12 in Cayo Santa María with the participation of important tour operators, is key to promotion of the destination.
Hotels and other tourist facilities are in very good conditions to welcome visitors this high season, following renovations completed during the COVID-19 pandemic, which provided an opportunity to upgrade all areas to provide greater comfort in beautiful settings.
The Villa Clara ministry representative stated that city hotels were also re opened November 15, thus expanding options for those who visit the province or wish to stay in Remedios, Santa Clara and other sites of interest in this province.
With a Sunwing Airlines flight from Toronto on November 2, the Abel Santamaría international airport in Santa Clara was back in operation, after being closed for almost a year due to the epidemic, and flights will be gradually added as projected arrivals of tourists to Villa Clara increase.
