With the purpose of continuing to deepen the relations between the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the MPLA organization of the Republic of Angola, the member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC, Roberto Morales Ojeda, and Manuel Domingos Augusto, Secretary of the Political Bureau for International Relations of the MPLA, held a dialogue on Monday in Havana.

Referring to the strength of the inter-party and inter-government links, Morales Ojeda evoked Fidel Castro Ruz and Agostinho Neto as the foundations of these relations, and described as "very valuable" the contribution that has been achieved, throughout all these years, in the training of political leaders and in the work with women's and youth organizations of both nations.

The host leader explained that the visit of the Angolan delegation takes place within the framework of the 67th anniversary of the foundation of the MPLA.

Manuel Domingos Augusto referred that his presence in the Caribbean island allows him to have an update of the daily life, after resisting the scourge of the COVID-19, which changed the world.

"I came to see how Cuba managed and resisted the consequences of the pandemic, aggravated by an increasingly tight blockade that made life here more difficult," said the Angolan visitor.

At the end of the meeting, an exchange and cooperation agreement was signed between the MPLA and the PCC, in order to strengthen relations in the areas of formation and training of cadres, bilateral cooperation in the economic framework, as well as in regional and international forums and events.

In order to implement the agreement, a practical guide called Road Map was also signed.
