CIEGO DE ÁVILA.-The destination Jardines del Rey exhibits a renewed graphic identity for the 42nd International Tourism Fair FitCuba 2024, with the aim of perpetuating the brand and gaining visibility, with a more colorful image and greater visual forcefulness, which goes beyond the Sun and beach tourism.
In just over three decades the emporium, located in the north of the province of Ciego de Avila, offers an image that is the result of successive maintenance actions to show a modern place, which is constantly rethinking and adapting to the changing context.
"The signage tends towards the simple, the natural, with dynamism and a characteristic color, without the lavishness, liveliness and luminosity characteristic of large urban or city tourist destinations," said Luis Alberto Pérez Olivarez, director of the Provincial Enterprise of Communal Services.
"We have put up new identification signs in the Coco, Guillermo and Paredón Grande keys, in addition to the revival of the wooden signs that guide visitors to hotel, extra-hotel and tourism support facilities".
He acknowledged the effort and quality of the work carried out by workers of Communal Services and the Cuban Fund for Cultural Heritage, including the artists who restored those distinctive elements of Jardines del Rey's roads.
The completion of the promenade of love, the landscaping of the Cayo Coco traffic circle, the photographic stop and the billboard with the iconic phrase pronounced by Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro: "Here you have to throw stones without looking ahead", are also among the works.
Along with these works, the local representations of the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) and the Gaviota Tourism Group are carrying out maintenance actions to ensure beauty, comfort and quality of services in hotel and non-hotel facilities.
The celebration of FitCuba 2024, from May 2 to 5, becomes an opportunity for tourism development in that destination, with more than 24,000 rooms, and the improvement of extra-hotel offers as a complement to the sun and beach modality, fundamentally in the expansion of nautical activities as a leading product.
