OFFICIAL VOICE OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF CUBA CENTRAL COMMITTEE

"The world needs the Brics because it would free it from the dollar, from blackmail, from dependence and from the economic blockade", says a report on the Sputnik website.

This truth is the result of the analysis of specialists who follow the subject, on the occasion of the Brics Summit to be held on October 22-24, in the city of Kazan, Russia.

In the most varied analyses published in the international press prior to the meeting, divergent criteria can be read, among them, from some Western media that have accused the group as a danger for those who feel safe on their platforms as decision makers of the world reality.

Others, with truthfulness, quote the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin, when he stated that "the international system needs a new form in the Brics".

Russia, which has chaired the Brics for 2024, has set as its premise "strengthening multilateralism for equitable global development and security".

High-level delegations from 32 countries, including the ten countries that today make up the Group: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia, have been confirmed to attend the 16th Summit of this alliance. Leaders of nations that have expressed their desire to join the Group have also been invited.

The issue of the defense of the Palestinian people, massacred by Israel, will also be part of the agenda of this Summit.

In this regard, President Putin affirmed that "we occupy a traditional position since the times of the [former] Soviet Union, which consists in what, I repeat again, the main way to solve the Palestinian problem is to create the full State of Palestine".
