
Israel considers it its closest backyard, a place it can turn to whenever it wants to send its military forces in, destroy everything in their path, and then occupy new territories within Lebanon.
Similarly, in recent times, including today, they have found in Lebanon a kind of trump card that it uses to destabilize the Middle East region and undermine the ceasefire agreements with Iran.
It suits Netanyahu and his cronies for the war of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran to remain an open front and for the U.S. military presence to continue in the area.
The best example is the massive bombing carried out by Israel against Lebanon this Wednesday, which left more than 200 civilians dead and over a thousand wounded, in addition to the total destruction of residential buildings, schools, hospitals, and other facilities.

According to the Lebanese National News Agency, the total death toll from the Emergency Operations Center, as of March 29, stood at 1,238, including 52 first responders, medical personnel, and 124 children, while the number of wounded reached 3,543.
People of all ages, genders, and social classes have been killed, including healthcare workers, journalists, and diplomats, regardless of political affiliation or religious beliefs.
It is clear that the Israeli government, while continuing its genocide against the Palestinian population of Gaza and the West Bank, has decided to increase its bombing campaign against Lebanon.
Hiding behind accusations against the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, for being an ally of the Palestinian people's struggle and opposed to the aggression against Iran, Israel is resorting to its usual tactics: bombing, massacring, and occupying territories, whether in Palestine, Lebanon, or Syria.
In the case of Lebanon, the current Israeli aggression has also caused the displacement of approximately 800,000 people, according to data from the UN's International Organization for Migration.
It is important to remember that the Zionist state occupied large swathes of Lebanese territory following its military actions against the country in 1982 and 2000, which it now seeks to expand and consolidate.
In Israel, the two main religions are Islam (Sunni and Shia), with over 54% of the population, and Christianity (Maronite, Orthodox, and other denominations), with 40.4%. There are also Druze communities and people of other faiths.
It is considered the most religiously diverse society in the Middle East.
