Debate on blockade begins in United Nations
At 10:05am Eastern Standard Time, the UN General Assembly session began, to consider issue number 42, entitled “Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade” presented by Cuba.
Pope Francis to visit Cuba
Vatican’s spokesman Federico Lombardi announced April 22 that Pope Francis will visit Cuba in September, prior to his tour of the United States, to become the third Pope to visit Cuba, following the historic visits of John Paul II in 1998, and Benedict XVI in 2012.
