Josefina Vidal assures that Cuba and the U.S. have made progress

Delegations from the two countries have been meeting in Washington since December 14, to negotiate issues regarding civil aviation. Significant progress has been made and they are close to reaching a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of regular flights

Cuba and U.S. resume direct postal services

Both parties agreed to re-establish direct postal services between the two countries through a Pilot Scheme which will be implemented over the coming weeks, with the hope of eventually establishing a permanent system in the future

On November 30, a new round of migratory talks took place between Cuba and the United States, in Washington. The Cuban delegation reiterated its commitment to safe, legal and orderly travel between the two countries, and serious concerns regarding the politicized use of the migratory issue by the U.S.
