The Cuban capital has been chosen by popular vote as one of the Seven Wonder Cities of the World, from among more than 1,200 cities in 220 countries nominated in the New7Wonders competition.

Tourist arrivals up 14% in first quarter of the year
Cuba surpassed one million international visitors March 21, representing a record for the country, the Ministry of Tourism reported. During the first quarter of the year, arrivals are up 14%, marked by an encouraging trend with increasing numbers of tourists from markets such as Canada (up 12.6%), Germany (+23.3%), France (+22.8%), the UK (+30.6%) and Italy (+10.8%).
Kempinski looking to Havana
Europe’s oldest hotel chain, the luxurious and traditional Swiss Kempinski Hotels will manage an establishment for Cuba’s leading hotel group Gaviota S.A. to be located opposite Havana’s Central Park, and scheduled to open by the end of 2016
International Tourism Fair in Jardines del Rey
May 5-7, the Spanish hotel chain Meliá Hotels International’s largest facility, the Meliá Jardines del Rey, will host FITCuba 2015, with Italy as this year’s guest country of honor, and dedicated to nautical activities and the Jardines del Rey resort area.
