Alina Balseiro Gutiérrez, president of the National Electoral Commission reports that, as of 7:00 am this morning, the country’s 24,646 polling stations were open and mid-term election of delegates to Municipal Assemblies of People’s Power underway.

Sunday, April 26, some 3,300 polling stations in 149 townships conducted a second round vote to elect delegates to Municipal Assemblies of People’s Power, since no candidate received the required 50% support in the first round held last week.
